An off-road and overland channel that wants to make the best 4x4 trail guides we can. We feature stock vehicles like Jeep Wrangler Rubicons and lightly modified non-traditional off-road vehicles like the Cherokee/Renegade Trailhawk, Volkswagen Touareg, Ford Ranger and Raptors, and many others. The host wheels a stock Jeep JL & TJ in Colorado/Utah and his stock Jeep Liberty is in Tennessee/East Coast.
This channel isn’t like the other channels so don’t expect hemis or massive builds. Reasonable builds I can afford off my paycheck, maybe. Still, we believe the driver matters here.

Imogene Pass is an iconic San Juan off-road trail that takes you from Ouray to Telluride. Often compared with the legendary Black Bear Pass, Imogene has its own cult following of off-roaders and overlanders from all over the world. In this video, we’ll show you what it’s all about including shelf roads, water crossings, sketchy photo opportunities, and incredible Colorado scenery. On those rocks, you can air down enough so your tires do not slip. Spinning creates a lot of problems. Though, it looks like it was a manual so that didn’t help either.

You guys should take a jackery or something so that you can keep your cameras charged up.
We have them, but sometimes it becomes more about gear than the journey. I instead bring extra batteries.

This video presents a realistic view of black bear… if it scared you, you are not ready for it. Unfortunately, too many inexperienced people get on it and make mistakes which has put it at risk of closure.

When do you suggest doing this for the river to be drivable like you had here?
Later in the season is your safest bet. Early season like now it is somewhat high but fun… last I heard, this part is open.
Got a TJ auto and put JK 44's with lockers under it. Only on 33's but it's a mountain goat!

Been meaning to attempt this with my Montero with a 2.5" lift and 32" all terrains. If that KL can do it I think I can, I have more ground clearance.

Not a fair comparison without front lockers on
Based on what I was testing there it didn’t matter… but you can repeat the test your way.
The rule is: If you stack rocks, you must also unstack them once you are through. Leave No Trace.

Set up the TJ with the same size tires as the JL and swaybar disconnects. I expect it would match or beat the JL in all those traction and rock crawling challenges where the JL won this time.

Thanks! Yes, BUT Imogene can be crowded enough that I wouldn’t pull my camper on it.
That Trailhawk couldn't flex enough.
Yet, Trailhawks make up for it usually with traction. However, my Liberty doesn’t flex either, but I love wheeling it.
Did this from the Telluride side last year with @nazgul_renegade. When we got to the summit we had a rain cloud roll into us and we did the Ouray side in the rain/clouds back down.

An oxygen sensor which the engine uses to understand the environment it is operating in. Google will have more in depth answers for your vehicle, but if your light isn’t on, I wouldn’t worry.

That’s the way to do it… I prefer to have great shops work on mine. I’ll do the breaking, they’ll do the fixing. Granted it is important to develop basic mechanical skills to take care of any issues that happen on the trail. Have fun out there!

That’d be cool. Trips are being set up through our channel membership. There are two member videos that I want people to watch before joining us. This was done because filming a guide is more involved than a simple wheeling trip and it helps me get everyone on the same page.

Was on the trail that day and let me tell you running the rest of that trail to Ouray after dark isn't for the faint of heart!!! 23:34 famous for 2 seconds 😂

All these nav apps are far to be good. Gaia and 99% others is unable to navigate mixed offrad/paved roads with voice commands. Draw pointer above imported gpx track is just useless - I can have such "navigation" in MS Excel. For paved roads there's NO better navigation than Google maps.
I agree about google maps for paved roads, but disagree about these apps. I use them on my phone which has good gps chips and they work great. My main issue with OnX is inaccuracy and false advertising, but it does show my place on the map. However as the video shows, so does GAIA and GAIA has way better maps.
Did Imogene Pass from Ouray to Telluride back in the early 1980's with my dad. Was basically my first off-road trip and made with a stock 1984 Toyota SR-5 pickup. The shelf road on the cliff on the South side of Telluride was a bit terrifying (I was new to off roading).

Yes, you can, but it would be a long day.
Just bought my first off roading vehicle. I live in New Hampshire and don't know where to go at all. I also don't have any friends that are in to off roading. Where can I go to get a list of trails? And how do I meet people to do this together? Would love to cut my teeth in the north east and then eventually get out west for trails like that.
Hey there, the best suggestion I could give you is join a local club. Nothing better than wheeling with others as you learn what works for you.
